Where does the STL Postseason Debate League Hold Tournaments?We primarily hold tournaments in the Clayton Center located at 50 Gay Avenue, Clayton, MO. If tournament venue changes, participants will be notified.
Why should I join the STL Postseason Debate League?Joining the STL Postseason Debate League is a great way to hone your debating skills for the regular season- not to mention the $100 cash prize for the three winners of each event!
What events are offered by the STL Postseason Debate League?The STL Postseason Debate League strives to offer Lincoln Douglas, Policy, and Public Forum at all tournaments pending on interest in each event. We also aim to offer speech events, also pending on participant interest.
How are topics chosen for the STL Postseason Debate League Tournaments?Our administrative team selects four engaging and useful topics for each debate division to be voted on by you! See the resolutions page for more info.
How are tournaments structured?Tournaments are judged by a combination of student and volunteer judges. Debate events will be in Round-Robbin tournament style where each team plays every other team in order to grant participants the most experience possible.
Are there any barriers to register?No; there is no entry fee, minimum debate experience prerequisite, or grade minimum or maximum. The STL Postseason Debate League is a fantastic way for all middle and high school students to get involved in debate!
